What is an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes that enhance the skills needed to succeed within specific roles. This means that individuals of any age can put the skills they learn into practice daily at work, whilst gaining a nationally recognised apprenticeship. Most importantly, there is no upfront cost for the learner, as an apprenticeship is FREE, nor is there any repayment required at any time.

Who can apply?

Apprenticeships are open to individuals aged 16 and over. We offer a variety of apprentice roles to help you build the skills needed for a rewarding career within our expanding business. Opportunities are available in fields such as Beauty Therapy, Cookery, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Customer Service, and more. Whether you're an existing staff member seeking to advance your career or someone looking to join the Barons Eden family, we offer a range of opportunities to progress up the apprenticeship ladder as part of your ongoing professional development with us.

Application Process
1. Online Application: Visit our careers page to explore current vacancies and complete a brief application, submitting your CV and Cover Letter.
2. Video Interview: Participate in an online assessment with our Internal Recruiter.

3. Assessment Interview: Attend an in-person interview and assessment with the relevant department and Hiring Manager.
4. Offer: If it’s a match, we’ll extend an offer to join our team.
5. Onboarding and Sign-Up: We’ll handle all the onboarding and paperwork to everything is set up for you.
6. Start: Welcome to the Barons Eden family!

Our commitment

Our people are important to us, so we want to ensure that opportunities are available for individuals to develop themselves and be the best they can be. Each apprenticeship will run for a minimum of 12 months, and in addition to your salary, Barons Eden will fully fund the apprenticeship and have valued an apprenticeships at £6,800 or more, based on training costs and the cost to the business. During the apprenticeship, staff members will receive support from their manager to help aid their careers at Barons Eden.

Hospitality Team Member - Food & Beverage

The Hospitality Team Member Level 2 apprenticeship (Food & Beverage pathway) includes a selection of core modules, to allow individuals to develop the skills and knowledge to further their careers. In addition to the core modules, this apprenticeship also includes a Food and Beverage Specialist module, learners will gain a detailed understanding of different service types, from room service to silver service.


Hospitality Team Member - Reception

The Hospitality Team Member Level 2 apprenticeship (Reception pathway) includes a selection of core modules, to allow individuals to develop the skills and knowledge to further their careers. In addition to the core modules, this apprenticeship also includes a Receptionist Specialist module which will develop team members in all areas of the receptionist role, from customer interactions to GDPR compliance.


Hospitality Team Member - Housekeeping

The Hospitality Team Member Level 2 apprenticeship (Housekeeping pathway) includes a selection of core modules, to allow individuals to develop the skills and knowledge to further their careers. In addition to the core modules, this apprenticeship also includes a Housekeeper Specialist module which develops effective skills in the cleaning and maintenance of living areas and furniture, and how to use different cleaning equipment.


Commis Chef

The Commis Chef Level 2 apprenticeship includes eight modules, where individuals will learn how to prepare and cook food groups and ingredients. This programme focuses on specific food types in detail, providing key information on the preparation, cooking and supply of all ingredients found in the kitchen.

A Level 3 apprenticeship is equivalent to 2 A level’s and is suitable for anyone who is currently a supervisor or looking to become a supervisor. Barons Eden also offers a Digital Marketer level 3 apprenticeship.


Hospitality Supervisor - Food & Beverage

The Hospitality Supervisor Level 3 apprenticeship (Food & Beverage pathway) is aimed at assistant managers, or leaders who supervise Front of House teams and is delivered through a selection of core modules. The programme also includes a Food and Beverage Specialist module that gives learners the knowledge to deal with food and drinks pairings, team management and industry trends. In addition to your salary, Barons Eden will fully fund the apprenticeship and have valued this apprenticeship at £8,000, based on training costs and the cost to the business. There is no upfront cost for the learner, nor is there any repayment required at any time.


Hospitality Supervisor - Housekeeping

The Hospitality Supervisor Level 3 apprenticeship (Housekeeping pathway) is aimed at Housekeeping Supervisors and is delivered through a selection of core modules. The programme also includes a Housekeeping Specialist module which gives learners detailed knowledge of how to coordinate and support a team of Room Attendants or Cleaners.


Hospitality Supervisor - Front Office

The Hospitality Supervisor Level 3 apprenticeship (Front Office) is aimed at Night Managers and Reception Shift Team Leaders and includes four core modules. The programme also includes a Front Office Specialist module to ensure the highest standard of service is provided, and the learner can coordinate and motivate a team.


Senior Production Chef

The Senior Production Chef Level 3 apprenticeship offers the development of skills in creating profitable menus and dishes which are nutritious and of high standards. Learners will understand the business in a wider context, ensuring all food production is in line with industry trends, food safety regulations, and business culture and standards.


Team Leader/Supervisor

The Team Leader Supervisor Level 3 apprenticeship covers the major skills required to develop leadership and management behaviours. The modules in this programme provide skills and knowledge based on five core themes: personal development, people management, operational success, project management and finance.


Digital Marketer

The Digital Marketer Level 3 apprenticeship is aimed at individuals who is looking to work in a marketing position. This programme includes the fundamentals of marketing, from marketing & digital marketing business principles, principles of coding, leadership, and Google Analytics IQ.


HR Support

The HR Support Level 3 apprenticeship includes eight modules and offers the opportunity for individuals to develop a clear understanding of the business situation through appropriate questioning and active listening. The programmes will enable learns to be able to apply HR legislation, policies and procedures relevant to their role.


Leisure Duty Manager

The Leisure Duty Manager Level 3 apprenticeship is most suited for individuals who are Personal Trainers or a Fitness Coach. The programme includes twelve modules where individuals will demonstrate a range of leadership and management skills that will allow them to drive, develop and successfully lead a team.

A Level 4 apprenticeship is equivalent to a Certificate of Higher Education is suitable for anyone who is currently a manager or looking to become a manager, and further their careers in Hospitality.


Hospitality Manager - Food & Beverage

The Hospitality Manager Level 4 apprenticeship (Food & Beverage pathway) is aimed at managers who work Front of House managing large teams. This programme includes four core modules, and an additional module specific to Food & Beverage where learners will develop the skills needed to manage and deliver services in a range of food and beverage settings.


Hospitality Manager - Kitchen Management

The Hospitality Manager Level 4 apprenticeship (Kitchen Management pathway) is designed specifically for Head Chefs who manage large kitchen teams. This programme includes four core modules and an additional module specific to Kitchen Management where learners will learn to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, understand financial accountability and take responsibility for stock management and procurement.

Learning & Development Consultant

The Learning & Development Level 5 apprenticeship is for individuals looking to extend their expertise for managing learning and development programmes and teams. The programme supports leadership to contribute to, influence and improve performance in the workplace. In addition to your salary, Barons Eden will fully fund the apprenticeship and have valued this apprenticeship at £13,600, based on training costs and the cost to the business. There is no upfront cost for the learner, nor is there any repayment required at any time.


Operations/Departmental Manager

The Operations/Departmental Manager Level 5 apprenticeship cultivates and extends the learner’s knowledge across a range of topics, leading them to more efficiently achieve their operational goals. In addition to your salary, Barons Eden will fully fund the apprenticeship and have valued this apprenticeship at £14,000, based on training costs and the cost to the business. There is no upfront cost for the learner, nor is there any repayment required at any time.


Professional Coaching

The Professional Coaching Level 5 apprenticeship will lead coaching through a non-directive approach, assisting individuals to discover their potential through profound listening and questioning. In addition to your salary, Barons Eden will fully fund the apprenticeship and have valued this apprenticeship at £9,600, based on training costs and the cost to the business. There is no upfront cost for the learner, nor is there any repayment required at any time.
