New spa garden will have DDA and real easy commute around that area, which we didn’t have before.
Disabled showers and toilets available

Door widths suitable for wheelchair access and no steps in the reception area
Can offer post check in welcome at seating area in reception if desk height not appropriate

Evac Chair available
Blind/deaf and unseen disabilities should be advised to be with a companion. The reason for this would be they won’t hear alarms, see alarm, see steps. With a chaperone they will be fine.
Physically disabled would depend on level of disability. Limited use of lower body but able to weight bare/ walk a few steps will be able to use all facilities. There are floats available to support in the pool.
If unable to walk the guest will not be able to access the pool or hot tubs but will be able to enter the heat rooms etc
In terms of rescue all guests are able to be rescued from all facilities as part of the Pool responder training.
Carers can receive a 10% saving when accompanying a disabled guest
Disabled toilet access
Room big enough for wheelchair access (prior notification is helpful if they just turn up this is a struggle as rooms are allocated for the day and we may not be able to move with 5 mins notice - generally FOH are really good at notifying us when they arrive)
Couches lower to floor so guest can nudge self from chair to couch
We give extra time if needed after treatment
We can provide a room for changing/ showering (the shower is step up) with an opposite sex partner - this may become a problem if we get to a point where all rooms are in use.
For deaf/blind/ unseen disabilities there is the option for the guest to be accompanied in the treatment by a companion alternatively the client is placed with an experienced/ senior staff member.
No upstairs access for wheelchair users
Access to full downstairs gym facility weights etc can be brought to the guest downstairs
Access to classes dependant on level of disability. We are able to provide adaptations to the exercise to be able to take part if wheelchair users. Deaf/blind/unseen disabilities are fine to take part. Exercises can be described in more depth and demonstrated visually.
