Take to the Courts
Here, your tennis comes with a backdrop of grand, Victorian architecture. Our two all-weather tennis courts are set just to one side of the main hall and are yours to use during your visit. Please simply collect your rackets from the Spa reception.
Woodland of Wonders
Walk or cycle along our beautiful woodland trail, taking in the views of the Needwood Forest, the towering oaks of the estate and our tranquil Italian Garden. The start of the trail is through the Spa, please ask at spa reception for details. Bike hire is available April - November, and can be requested at either spa or main reception.
Formal Gardens
Why not take a stroll through our formal gardens? Staying true to Emily Meynell Ingram’s 19th century design, Hoar Cross Hall’s formal gardens are truly beautiful, meticulously maintained by our dedicated groundsmen, they feature manicured lawns, gravel pathways, rose gardens, herbaceous borders, fountains, line avenues, water gardens, herb gardens (used by the kitchen), a rock garden, a sunken garden and shrub borders.
Driving Range
You may not know this, be we have a huge driving range located within our grounds. Not only that, but you can practice your putting on our bespoke putting green. No need to pre-book, please just visit our spa reception to collect your clubs and balls!
